  • Elkhart County investigators use crash evidence to search for hit-and-run driver

    The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department's Crash Investigation team is continuing to seek information on the driver and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that severely injured 30-year-old Joshua Phillips while he was walking in the area of CR 18 east of CR 23. While the Goshen man was walking, he was struck by a pickup truck, which was traveling eastbound on CR 18. The crash occurred on Friday, October 10, 2014 at approximately 10:19 p.m. Evidence collected from the scene suggests that the truck in question should have front passenger side damage, which includes a broken headlight cover.
