    A man accused of drugging a woman nearly four years ago while he was waiting tables at an Albuquerque restaurant is no longer facing charges. KRQE-TV reports that a Sandoval County judge dismissed the case Friday against Damon Morgan because prosecutors were taking too long to go to trial.

    The University of Texas at El Paso, head cheerleading coach, David Vasquez was arrested Thursday night in Albuquerque for aggravated DWI. Court records obtained by KRQE News 13 say Vasquez was arrested just before 2 a.m. Friday morning on an aggravated DWI charge.

    Four families displaced by the fire Thursday afternoon that destroyed the Mountain Lodge in Carnuel will be receiving financial and gift help this holiday season from the Follow the Sun East Mountain Facility, a school bus contractor that works with Albuquerque Public Schools to bus students into Albuquerque from Carnuel. FTS has set up a donation account with Wells Fargo, listed under Rose and Mark Bleth's name, in care of the Carnuel Fire Catastrophe Fund.

    Second Judicial District Attorney Kari Brandenburg issued a statement Friday saying a decision has not been made regarding the James Boyd officer-involved shooting. Brandenburg says the office received the completed Supplemental Report from Albuquerque Police in September and began discussing ways to proceed in October.

    Fire destroyed the former Mountain Lodge motel Thursday afternoon along Route 66 on the east edge of Albuquerque, reported the Albuquerque Journal and other media outlets. The motel had been converted into apartments.
