Oakland, Santa Rosa and Cleveland were foremost among them -- but none has pressed the point home as adamantly as San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone. And Oakland and Santa Rosa have backed down from their pushes. 'Complex' policies Although the wording in San Francisco is different from his own, Vasa said, he regards his friend Cordileone as reaching for similar clarity on moral dictates. • To the CHP Officer.....
    Friday, February 20, 2015 8:15:00 AM

TO PROTECT AND TO SERVE To the CHP Motorcycle Officer I saw on 580 on February 13, 2015, THANK YOU! You helped a man who was changing a tire. I don't know the name of the man with the truck who needed help. I see stories of the CHP officers helping to rescue a scared dog on a freeway wall, delivering babies in cars on the side of the road, rescuing an overheated puppy from a locked car in a shopping center; and I am sure that there are a lot more stories that we don't hear about. You might think that these are little things, but they are not.
