About: Danville, Illinois

Founded in 1827 Danville was made up of eighty donated acres. The city was named for Dan Beckwith who donated twenty of those acres. It became a large coal mining area in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Today the city has seventeen parks including a full dog park called FETCH, and the Danville Village Mall. DaVita Healthcare Partners, Total Renal Care and Genesis KC Development have applied to the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board to open a $3.05 million end state renal dialysis facility at 22 W. Newell Road in Danville.
