About: Dunwoody, Georgia

Dunwoody is a city located in northern Georgia. The area was settled in the late 1830s. It was named for Major Charles Dunwody; however an extra "o" was added accidentally with the signing of a bank note. In 1881 the Roswell Railroad ran through the city on its way to the Chatahoochee River. In 1905, former President Theodore Roosevelt made a campaign stop in Dunwoody via the railway when on his way to nearby Roswell. So far, police in Dunwoody and Chamblee tell Channel 2 Action News reporter Mike Petchenik they've filed charges against Michael Sisson, and they say more charges are possible.

    In a showing of "White Rabbit, Red Rabbit" co-produced by the Marcus Jewish Community Center in Dunwoody and Out of Hand Theater , Atlanta NPR's music host John Lemley will perform a cold reading of the script on-stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. Written by 29-year-old playwright Nassim Soleimanpour while he was forbidden to leave his home country of Iran, "White Rabbit, Red Rabbit" is a unique experiment in theater that produces a new experience with every performance. "Each performance is a world premiere," Adam Fristoe, Co-Artistic Director at the Out of Hand Theater, said in a press release.
