    A Jersey City man charged with strangling his girlfriend in June and then leading police on a chase that ended when he jumped off a bridge and broke both legs made his first court appearance today on the murder charge, officials said. Nathan Williams, 36, was in a wheelchair when he appeared before Hudson County Superior Court Judge John Young this morning and he is still undergoing rehabilitation for the numerous injuries he suffered during his failed attempt to flee from authorities.
