    Kent Police arrested a man for investigation of fourth-degree assault and third-degree theft after he allegedly hit a taxi cab driver with a cane during a dispute and didn't pay for the ride. Officers responded to a report of a man with a cane hitting the driver at about 9:48 p.m. on Dec. 6 in the 3800 block of Reith Road, according to the police report.
