Maplewood Police Chief Paul Schnell said in an interview Friday "We did request an outside investigation and put together a case for the FBI, along with the Washington County sheriff's office, and they are doing it jointly."

    During a home-invasion robbery in St. Paul, a woman was sexually assaulted, hot wax was poured on a man, a 13-year-old boy was kicked in the ribs, and gunshots were fired, according to criminal charges filed Friday. The Ramsey County attorney's office charged Jeffray Leallen Walker, 32, of Maplewood with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of first-degree burglary and two counts of first-degree aggravated robbery.
