    Police say just before 7:30 p.m. a 39-year-old woman was struck by a car in the area of 724 Boswell Avenue while she was walking south down the street. An ambulance took the woman to William W. Backus Hospital before she was then flown by Lifestar to Hartford Hospital.

    Norwich A 39-year-old woman is in critical condition this morning after she was struck by a motor vehicle on Boswell Avenue Saturday evening, Norwich police said. Police and American Ambulance were called to 724 Boswell Ave. at 7:26 p.m. Saturday for a report that a motor vehicle had struck a pedestrian.

    Chase Clark, 31, of 17 Noble Ave., Noank, was charged Wednesday in Voluntown with driving an unregistered motor vehicle, driving under suspension, speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Janos Bukovics, 42, of 189 Long Hill St., East Hartford, was charged Thursday with driving with suspended license or registration, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to have headlights lit and devices illuminated.
