    A 48-year-old Roy man accused of snatching a 5-year-old girl from the bedroom of her Sandy home is expected to make his initial court appearance on Tuesday morning. Troy Mitchell Morley is charged in 3rd District Court with first-degree felony child kidnapping, second-degree felony burglary, class A misdemeanor criminal trespassing in a dwelling and class B misdemeanor interference with an arresting officer.

    The Canyons Board of Education on Tuesday voted to relocate the school community to the old Crescent View building, 11150 S. 300 East in Sandy, for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years while the school is rebuilt with proceeds from a $250 million voter-approved bond. The District Transportation Office is arranging to safely transport students to the temporary school location.
