    A 40-year-old Sandy man was sentenced to prison for up to life on Monday for a 2008 road-rage killing. Troy Warren Williams pleaded guilty earlier this year to first-degree felony discharge of a firearm and second-degree felony counts of manslaughter - with a firearm enhancement - and obstructing justice for the Jan. 15, 2008, death of 43-year-old Frank Saucedo.

    With no tax increase and general agreement between Mayor Ben McAdams and the Salt Lake County Council on spending priorities , the county's $1.1 billion budget for 2015 sailed through a public hearing Tuesday and then on to adoption by a unanimous vote. Only three speakers turned out for the public hearing - ever-vigilant council watcher Steve Van Maren of Sandy and two advocates who called on the county to turn the heat up in one of its indoor swimming pools so that disabled children, arthritis sufferers, veterans and others with adaptive disabilities can exercise physically and expand their experience horizon.
