    SANTA CRUZ >> A trial for a driver in a fatal wrong-way crash in Santa Cruz in 2011 has been delayed to Oct. 13, a Santa Cruz County Superior Judge ruled Monday. Eric Rsel Weers, a 32-year-old from Soquel, remained in Santa Cruz County Jail on Monday on a charge of murder with a special allegation of causing great bodily injury, Gill said. On July 11, 2011, Weers intentionally drove an Acura MDX into oncoming traffic on Highway 17, according to the California Highway Patrol. Weers faces 15 years to life in prison if convicted, authorities said.
