About: Upland, California
Upland is located in southeastern California. When it was founded, the city was a small rural town that had its foundation in agriculture, primarily citrus fruits and grapes. The city was incorporated in 1906, changing its original name of North Ontario to Upland. Today the city has attempted to preserve the small rural feel for which it was once known. The city is home to the Pipeline Skate Park, which opened in 1977, closed in 1988 and reopened in 1993.
