The premium channel HBO is available to Xfinity users. That means that you have access to HBO’s original series, intriguing documentaries, comedy specials, the hottest movies and sports shows. Plus, Comcast is the first to bring you HBO On Demand in stunning HD! With HBO On Demand you can watch what you want, when you want.

Catch up on past seasons before the season premier. Missed the last episode of your favorite show? No problem. Watch it on HBO On Demand—on your time. With HBO On Demand you have access to movies, documentaries, TV series, comedy specials and sports shows, right at your fingertips.

HBO is known for its original TV series which have a phenomenal cast, unique storylines, and innovative humor. For example, the Emmy award-winning series about a writer who moonlights as an unlicensed private detective, Bored to Death, stars Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis, and Ted Danson. True Blood, starring Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, is another original HBO series about vampires in Louisiana. Other series include Boardwalk Empire, Big Love, Hung, Funny or Die Presents, East Down & Bound and Entourage. Past programs such as Sex in the City, Six Feet Under, and The Sopranos are made available for viewing with HBO On Demand. Whatever you like—drama, comedy, etc. - HBO has a series for you.

HBO also features documentaries that have been known to push the limits. In 2006, director Spike Lee made a four-hour documentary titled When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts, about Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath left in its wake. Other documentaries include My Trip to Al-Qaeda, Wishful Drinking, Gasland and Dark Light: The Art of Blind Photographers. HBO is also noted for its sports documentaries such as Lombardi, Broad Street Bullies and Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, which in one episode used a hidden camera to record slavery and torture in secret desert camps where boys less than five years old were trained to race camels, a national sport in the UAE (United Arab Emirates).

There are also several comedy specials featuring comedians such as Ricky Gervais, Dennis Miller, and George Lopez. Available for your viewing pleasure are Bill Maher: … But I’m Not Wrong, Tracy Morgan: Black and Blue, Robin Williams: Weapons of Self Destruction, Wanda Sykes: I’ma Be Me and Robert Klein: Unfair and Unbalanced. These specials air on HBO’s scheduled programming, but are also available to viewers with HBO On Demand. Watch one with friends and enjoy lots of laughs.

Driving to movie rental stores to rent a movie seems outdated. Getting movies in the mail is nice, but you can only have a few at a time, and you have to mail them back. HBO not only airs the hottest movies, it also provides them to you on HBO On Demand. So you can watch the movie of your choice whenever you want—either watch it, record it or select it on the On Demand list. The movie selection is to die for. There are movies for the family, comedies, dramas, older movies, brand new movies, and original HBO films and mini-series.

Still on the fence about paying for a premium channel? It is not just one channel—it is actually seven channels! There is the flagship HBO channel with popular feature films, first-run movies, special sports events, and original series, comedy specials and documentaries; HBO2 that airs more movies, series, specials and original movies; HBO Comedy which features HBO comedy series and specials, as well as adult comedy specials at night; HBO Family that provides movies and series aimed at younger audiences, as well as family films; HBO Latino which broadcasts everything from the original HBO channel, but in Spanish; HBO Signature with quality films, original HBO series and specials marketed toward women; and HBO Zone which is geared towards audiences aged 18-35.
