The state capital is Indianapolis. Indiana means "the land of Indians," and is known for sports teams and athletic events including the Indianapolis 500 motorsports race, the NFL's Indianapolis Colts and the NBA's Indiana Pacers. The state has a 41 miles waterfront on Lake Michigan, which produces iron, steel and oil products including automobile parts and accessories, mobile homes and recreational vehicles, truck and bus bodies, aircraft engines, farm machinery and fabricated structural steel. Indiana is an agricultural leader with corn, hogs, soybeans, wheat, oats, rye, tomatoes, onions and poultry at the top of their agricultural output.
